Welcome Address
On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to welcome all of you to Tainan. Tainan is the oldest city in Taiwan and people living here have a special character and taste, reflecting an air of romantic and historical.
Yes, this is the 21st Zeelandia Symposium on Behavioral Neuroscience (ZSZBN). Except for 2003, when I was in Tucson, USA as a visiting professor, the Symposium has been annually held without interruption. "Persistence is power", said Professor Atsushi Yamadori to me 23 years ago, who is my mentor.
In addition to the lectures given by speakers from Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan on dementia neuroscience, we are to share cases of posterior cortical atrophy syndrome (PCA) and work together for our Asian study on this rare syndrome. Moreover, on 14 Dec 2019, we also celebrate the publication of the booklet Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology Guideline Vol II.
Finally, I wish all of you can enjoy the atmosphere in this old town in an old city and have good interactions among all audience and improve the care for people with cognitive impairment or dementia.
